The actual conclave has not started yet, but the discussions about it have, and they are supposed to be completely confidential. So when an Italian newspaper, La Stampa, published details of the private deliberations, the Cardinals were placed on radio silence and forbidden from talking to the media or doing any more press conferences until it's all over with. |
