Catholic Church withdraws subpoena to Obama on birth control Posted: 23 Apr 2013 11:47 AM PDT WASHINGTON (Reuters) - Scaling down a legal fight with the White House, the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of New York has agreed to drop a request for documents about the government's requirement of insurance coverage for birth control, a court filing on Monday said. Two kidnapped Syrian bishops freed: church official Posted: 23 Apr 2013 09:35 AM PDT DAMASCUS (Reuters) - Kidnappers freed two Syrian bishops on Tuesday who had been abducted in the northern city of Aleppo, a church official said, but the identities of their kidnappers remained uncertain. "The two are on their way to the patriarchy in Aleppo," Bishop Tony Yazigi told Reuters in the capital Damascus.
